I’m at a loss with the numbers Jason and Marcus are conversing. (Andrea as well as Marcus’ mother are not going to like what their sons found online.)

Sometimes this site gets too geeky for the average reader. I used to be a programmer, so I can “speak geek.”

No portion of an IP address can be larger than 255. I see some octets as high as 801. Just saying…

well, can’t do that anymore, because almost every IP address out there is serving multiple machines behind the firewall with port forwarding based on the hostname.

It is definitely the basis of nightmares, anxiety attacks, and mental breakdowns the things that computers/networks/global internet/Big Tech know, expose and terrorize you (think shame, firestorm, bully, fake news) with. And yet we humans continue to fill facebook, twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, and all the other ‘social media’ with our very souls. Computers/Big Tech possibly take over the world? LOL they already have AND if you are reading this – there really is nothing you can do about it now. bwaahahaha

I guess I’m too much of a nerd to have a clue as to what they’re talking about.

I took my students, in the very early 90’s, to the Schools first computer lab. I gave them an ancient pre-Google search engine (metacrawler). The task search any nation & record one fact that they discovered there. They complained about having to type out http://www.metacrawler.com. Soon one guy went from the nation of Jordan to the Michael Jordan home page. All of a sudden a gaggle of guys were around one dude’s computer. His name was Connor (insert a Irish last name here). He went to search for Ireland & found the Kathy Ireland home page…. She was a top model of that time appearing in lots of skimpy bathing suits….

I used to think I was reasonably intelligent. This has me so lost i’m going to sit in the corner of my round padded room and start my education over again by reading some Dick and Jane books.
