My wife asked me to get something on the way home from work and I replied “AS YOU WISH” but she didn’t get it. Turns out She said she NEVER saw “The Princess Bride”.INCONCEIVABLE!
Certainly in my top 5. I remember the first time I saw it and my uncontrollable laughing as they tumbled down the hill. I also remember my son, a wiry, athletic but smallish lad of 7 or 8 (now 24) convinced he was Fezzik. The movie (any) itself matters, but the memories associated with it make “greatness” for me.
Everyone has his own “greatest movie ever made.” And as everyone is different, there is going to be a plethora of different “greatest movie ever made.”
I find it hard to believe that a tech guy like Roy would be happy with just a laptop. Where’s the docking station hooked up to a monster 48-inch curved monitor, wireless keyboard and mouse, and the ultra-surround sound noise-cancelling headphones?

I would suggest “Serenity” or “My Favorite Year” as VERY strong contenders, though I doubt Roy would agree.

I am vaguely aware of it, and have no intention of ever watching it.

That is always subjective, but it’s a fun movie and Roy seems happy, so Roy,“Here’s looking at you kid.”

My favorite all-time movie is “Groundhog Day” and that’s just all I’m going to say… :^D

To me one of the greatest things was the outpouring from the public and cast, against doing a remake or sequel. Some movies should not be messed with.

I rewatched it forgetting I’d seen it before. Nuff said.

I actually ascribe the line “As you wish” to Darth Vader, since he used it years before “The Princess Bride” came out.

“Star Trek IV:The Voyage Home” is the greatest movie ever made.

Frequency (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0186151/?ref_=nv_sr_1?ref_=nv_sr_1). The end makes me cheer and weepy-eyed at the same time.
