better label the food you want yourself to eat, Opal, and label other foods for Earl to eat (including the food he can’t stand to eat which you like to eat)

If you’re saving something in a household for yourself, you need to tell the other person about it. Otherwise you have nothing to whine about.

At work some labeled their food in the fridge. And I only ate their desserts.

Or… perhaps Earl was only trying to save Opal from breaking her teeth on a day-old bagel.

Next time hide it in the dishwasher, it’ll be safe there.

Considering how little Earl moves around, I’d say he has a point.

I buy a treat for my wife. The kind she enjoys, which I know because I’ve seen her buy and consume the very same thing. I put it where she stores her own treats. I carefully avoid eating it. She never eats it. After a year or so, I go ahead and eat it. Then, a little while later, she’ll buy herself one for a treat. This is only annoying at stocking-stuffer time. Now.
