So that’s what annoyed the Balrog so much when Gandalf did that maneuvre on it.

Interesting that the dragons are green in Gocomics, but they are red at the John Hart Studios website.

Now I feel sorry for the dragon…

I guess the gas buildup will help with the fire-breathing.

Back in my time, that’s something you wouldn’t read in a comic strip! (which I find nothing wrong with today)

I would say that in the final panel Wiz is proving that “you can’t keep a good man down”, but with him, you never know!

Wiz’s spell doesn’t sound as bad as the Black Knight’s one of “None Shall Pass!”. His sounded all inclusive, whereas Wiz’s was just directed toward one dragon…

Gandalf was fighting a Balrog, not a dragon. And the Balrog ultimately fought to a draw as Gandalf the Grey died shortly after killing the Balrog. And Gandalf was raised from the dead as Gandalf the White.

The real way to defeat a monster…

Take a long dive off of a narrow bridge with him – when you hit bottom it might clear up…
