Why do people post pics of food. I can understand if you were baking and made a super pretty cake that you were super proud of but a taco? Why post pics of every meal? Unfathomable.

Bernice is jealous? Or disbelieving that Gun has game?

So nice to see Puddles (and a pox on G&K if ever anything bad happens to him. Ever.

Well, this is something of a disappointment. I was hoping to see Gunthie have a serious talk with Bets about NOT putting every single minute of their time together on line for her fans. Instead we switch to Lu and Bern claiming they don’t care about the nerds, yet they keep watching? I take it that’s SUPPOSED to be funny?

Hey, here’s an idea Lu: Why don’t you UNFOLLOW them? Then your phone won’t keep pinging every time one of them picks their teeth, or burps or farts, or whatever else Bets deems worthy of sharing with her fans! :D

The food at Mangafest is better than I expected — Tacos!!!

Not sure if Luann is jealous? Not of Bets herself but that he is in a relationship and is doing things with her and looks like he is having fun. I won’t be surprised that the next time they see each other, Gunther will confess that he doesn’t like her social media fascination, that he does not like having to pose for HER fans, that Bets dismisses his words about not wanting to do the social media thing. Hopefully, Luann dispenses a bit of wise advice – dump her. Go talk to her about his feelings about her being constantly on social media and being dismissive of his objections, then warn her if she continues, he will likely break up with her. As I said before, I suspect she did this with her previous boyfriends before meeting Gunther and already had an account, that she only changed the guy name when she starts dating a new guy, so she is addicted to social media and won’t stop. Will Gunther try to help or just dump her?

Luann can unfollow " Bets ‘N’ Gun " but Bernice & Luann can’t. They are invested.

Well, it looks like “Gun” is either beginning to bask in the attention or biding his time to discuss the situation with Bets off-line. Have the Evans thrown another curve ball at the readership? Making it look like “Gun” is totally uncomfortable but instead is “basking in the limelight”. Stay tuned in – same bat-sh… channel. same bat-sh— time. :)

Perhaps they have left the Mangafest and Greg has them off sharing a taco. They might be at Bet’s place. Greg, you old devil, you. You are surely the master of innuendo…

Looks like Evans ran out of story to tell, if he’s cutting away to reaction shots instead. Too bad for anyone hoping for a resolution to Gunther/Bets drama. Nope, instead we go to Luann’s room, where excitement goes to die.

I would like to see Gunther realize that he is out of his league and come back into The Fuse (or whatever Luann’s mom and dad own), with his tail between his legs, declaring dramatically, “It’s over” and plop down. Exit the cute, but hyper fantasy girl, Bets. Do not re-enter Tiff, Bernice, or Luann, because that emotionally stunted nerd doesn’t deserve to have any self respecting girl anywhere near him. And, memo to Peru: Rosa, stay there.

Let’s leave Bets and Gun. Their run the last few days is anti-Luann.

Now, I not going to say that Luann and Bernice are Jealous because the guy they once REJECTED is with someone else. Nah. That would be too easy.

And I’m going to ignore the expected and always PREDICTABLE “Anti-Gunther” sentiments. And the even more PREDICTABLE “Hey, Luann and Bernice” find tacos more interesting than Gunther!” Wise-Cracks.

Nope.

I’m just gonna say: Remember Luann. YOU created this Monster by “accidentally” uploading Gunth’s profile to “Date Pics” last year.

So “YOU” young lady, have “enabled” this whole MESS! But count your lucky stars that BOTH of YOUR Date-Pics dates walked out on you and never called you again. Besides, YOU, Luann have uh, Jack, I guess. Bernice? You are likely to be confused by Piro again. And Tiffany? She’s about to corral the college quarterback. Plus she still has that Les creature in her corner. Gunther? Right now his only hope is fan fiction.

So ladies? Reveal in your good fortune while basking in the security and comfort of Luann’s room! And be of good cheer! Everything is going to be Cool with you because Misery will be waaaaaay too busy tormenting Gunther. As usual. :)

PS: THAT, has got to be the cleanest I’ve EVER seen Luann’s room.

Re: Airman: Must be one of the “Never Gunthers.” Give the kid a break! Whether we agree with what Bets is doing or not (I don’t), at least he allowed himself out of his “comfort zone.”

I also can’t stand when my friends do it. They are at the convention, take many photos and publish them continuously and you think, PLEASE STOP, IT’S ENOUGH, you are annoying! Obviously, when I am at a convention, I only place 4or 5 photos in the evening, together with a long and very detailed description where I write which famous authors I met, what they said during the conferences and what I think about it.

Ugh.

I guess the theme is people doing anything is more interesting than people doing nothing. In this instance, not so much.

Why are they only interested in him when he’s not available?

Sounds unsanitary.

Sunday: Frank thinks Nancy has gone overboard1

Looking at this strip, I get the feeling it is the end of “Bets and ‘Gun’ At The Mangafest” episode. The last panel distracts the reader from the apparent tension between the two of the past several days. Greg has been building up this tension through a series of vignettes over several weeks. I think he’ll let it stew a little longer. He tends to drag things out… like Tiffany’s miseries.

Therefore I think that next week we’ll be off on another arc; one that has been hanging around for awhile. Maybe one involving Les or Luann with either Jack or Tara. Of course we’d like to see the new adventures of Tiffany and her roomie but, Oh well! I have a hunch her new roomie will surprise us. Mebbe Bets???

Why should there be an assumption that Bernice or Luann are either jealous over losing Gunther, or irritated, on anything on the oh they don’t have boyfriends trope? I think this is just kind of a sarcastic take on social media trends through affinity groups that really are encouraged in the virtual world. Conventions like the Comic-cons are very much facilitated by social media, as well as entertainment vehicles, meaning $$$$. This is true globally, not just in the US. I know this is going against the projection that goes on here (I am guilty of it too) but that is what I think about this whole arc. I agree that Gunther needs to let Bets know his limits, but I think she will go with the flow on that, She really likes Gunther, is VERY protective of him, and would have the ability to modify if needed. Plus she still is needed by Tiffany.

Sharing a taco! Just when I concluded Gun wasn’t getting any real intimacy – we get something like a hint. G & K keep the spark alive – to the disgust of the Puritan readers in the Luann blog. But I doubt we’ll get to see Gun & Bets sharing cereal and coffee in the morning.

Gotta love the age of anti-social media. If I could find a way to dump all of the so-called ‘influencers’ into the Marianas Trench, it would be a HUGE win!

Bets’ appropriated an old business card for her computer thing: Have Gun, Will Travel, to com-cons.

Sharing the same taco? That must be an extremely dedicated groupie.
