Mortality eventually cures all; the only trick is to keep away from the deep ends before that time comes. I don’t think it helps that medical professionals have such differing views of nutrition and blood chemistry. Doctors say we consume too much salt and doctors warn sodium deficiency is becoming a problem from avoiding salt. Doctors say we should avoid carbohydrates or eat a “plant based” diet. We can’t do both and get enough calories to sustain life. We are obligate omnivores – we can’t make our own vitamin C or vitamin B12 like our ape cousins can, and we need both to live. We can only get C from plants and B12 from animals (besides – horrors! – from supplements). Anyway, we are designed to eat all sorts of stuff and to die eventually. I’ll just hold back a little on the cherry pie.

At least you get to keep your clothing and not have to wear one of those medical gowns…

At my age, I have as many docs as I have friends. But, so long as I am still able to hug my wife and family and see them happy, it’s all good.
