I never knew that these were “ugly” Christmas sweaters. I just thought over the decades tht they were Christmas sweaters. When did they become considered ugly?
When we used to go to Colonial Williamsburg for their Grand Illumination weekend there was a group of older women who would also come every year and wore their Christmas sweaters – whether it was 20F or 90F they wore their sweaters -never thought of them as ugly sweaters.
