So many people get the spirit of Christmas all wrong. It’s a damn shame ‘cause it’s not that hard to be good to people all the time.

Must be full of $5 three-wick candles…

I understand that it’s the thought that counts … Merry Christmas!!

I’ll be in that line later today and probably tomorrow. With me it’s a tradition, meaning I always wait until the very last minute.

My wife and I are exceptionally blessed. We don’t need anything. Therefore we don’t buy much in the line of gifts for each other. I bought her a gift certificate to her favorite spa: I have to “outsource” some of my pampering of her. She is getting me a magazine subscription to a publication I like to read.

We took the money we would have spent on his and hers Lexi (the plural of Lexus) and bought diapers, feminine hygiene products and food for the pantry that our church runs. This isn’t just checkbook charity. These are people we normally have dinner with on Tuesday nights.

Consistent with the owner’s perspicacity, the return desk within the Shoppe is labeled the Counter Counter.

The. Most. Accurate. Christmas. Comic. Ever.

Cynicism, like optimism, is a good trait to have. However, it must be observed in moderation. If you’re too cynical, you miss out on a lot of fun.
