OMG! Speaking of clichés, I just finished rereading “Station Wagon in Spain,” an old Frances Parkinson Keyes novel. (ANYBODY remember her???) Every cliched situation. plot gambit, and romantic line ever invented is in there. I can see why she’s not much read anymore; one step up from Barbara Cartland. . .
