I’m starting to realize, at this point, things are way out of control. But the pentagram is holding, so I’ve still got the upper hand at the moment. Then he says, “Oh, the pentagram. Nice work on the tape. No chance of smudging the lines or anything. One thing, though. I’m not … actually, inside the pentagram. I don’t have a physical being, really. This is just a manifestation of my awareness, which resides as an energy construct of a wholly different nature from anything physical. You are projecting my physical being from your own mind, using my power, which can be… just a bit addictive. The real pentagram is your own five senses. Look. I touch this line, here… and your hearing is suddenly super sharp. Your reality, your entire physical universe, is quite malleable to me. I exist throughout it, forward, backward and sideways in time. Violet didn’t tell you anything at all. Nice work. You get the benefit of beginner’s luck without the starter’s stumbling blocks. You’d be surprised how people who ‘know what they are doing’ can screw things up.”
Given the track-and-field singlets they’re wearing, it would appear these fellas won’t be taking the honors in the relay. If they’re wrestling singlets, I’d say the upright guy just scored a takedown.
I believe Kettering was the guy who invented the starting motor for autos. The claim was that it couldn’t be done, because the wires in the rotor had to be small diameter for the starter to fit under the hood. But Kettering figured the wires could handle the current for the short time needed to start the engine (3 or 4 seconds), and he was right (the difference between a scientist and an engineer). This is what I read when I was a kid, and it inspired me.
This is all related to: “The more you comment on FA, the more chance there is of you stubbing your LAME … but the more chance you have of getting nowhere” …!
Clinging desperately to Charles F. Kettering for balance while spouting such balderdash is hardly lame enough for the bottom inch of the left-most column of page 19 of the Froglandia Gazette and Intelligencer, a highly respected bastion of journalistic inanity and lameness.
Besides, there is nothing to suggest that we are getting anywhere anyway in these scholia on Sister Teresa….

That’s what penguins do and they don’t slip or fall.

Watch out for speedbumps, human and otherwise. And wear protective footwear. Safety first.
