Eskimo was one specific group of early Asian people that inhabited the western shores of what is now Alaska. It was a territorial jungle at that time and they were never a majority. As the white explorers have never cared to identify the different native peoples, we somehow picked up on the one term to identify all of the indigenous races.
It occurs to me that what we’ve made here isn’t an igloo so much as a snow tent. Which wouldn’t be that big a deal, except that it can be shortened to “stent,” which you have to admit is a pretty cool deal indeed

Kid is sharp and inventive. Good traits these days. Too bad most pols have let the talent atrophy, IF they actually ever possessed it.

Well “true” still has meaning in programming, as does “false”.

So how many people in snow country are going to try that with a large plastic bag full of air?

This is a variation on how schoolkids make, or used to make, globes (to paint a world map onto) using papier-mâché and an inflated balloon.
Or am I oldsplaining what everyone here already knows?

That is what they do, first widen it with a balloon then place a device to hold it wider called a “stent” for arteries that clog.
