Now I remember why I hated kids like Dakota so much.

Should Phoebe get back at Dakota by (also unintentionally) mispronouncing her name? “Day-kot-ay” perhaps?

That’s really fee-beel humor.

It’s not the letter(s), but the spirit that counts, Phoebe!

Dakota seems to be back to her old self again.

Dakota has declared she and Phoebe are friends? I guess she really was moved by Phoebe’s attempt to reconcile her with the Goblin Queen.

“If I say we’re friends, that means you must allow me to be a troll to you.”

I think she’ll eventually settle on “FoeBee” or “FauxBee.”

Someone explain to Dakota that New Year’s resolution should be something that’s difficult to do for you, not that come spontaneously.

I’m sensing magical retaliation in the air.

A girl I went to school did the same to me. She kept pronouncing my name wrong at every chance. I told her that if she didn’t stop I would pronounce her name as it would be if it was spelt backwards. She soon stopped. Her name was Marlana.

At least she hasn’t called her Furby (yet. That was one annoying fad toy)/

Come on, Dakota, that’s an old joke. Come up with some new material.

Dokatta doesn’t realize what she’s set herself up for. She’s gonna use up all the mispronunciations her first day.

Friends? Well, maybe. Like Phoebe, I can’t tell how serious she is about that. Plus, friends will joke around with each other like this, but the distinct difference is whether or not all participating friends are cool with it, and Phoebe clearly isn’t just yet. Without that, that supposed “friendly” trait just becoming passive-aggressive bullying of a sort.

Of course, Dakota could just be new to this whole “having friends” thing and is still learning the ropes. As I recall, Dana did storyarcs similar to that back in her Ozy and Millie days, and I could see her doing it again here.

As adults, we know that Phoebe’s solution should be to just ignore Dakota every time she does that. As children, not so much. It is very frustrating to be bullied, and make no mistake, that’s exactly what Dakota is doing.
