It is extremely rare for the “experts” to get an extinction wrong.

Sunny is right. Every wild animal is vital to the Earth and is just as much as deserving as we humans are. If people keep hunting, there will be no more animals left. We can’t afford anymore extinct species. Like the song says, we are all earthlings, and wild animals are no exception.

Extinction is one of those almost unprovable concepts. Basically it says we have looked for “X” for “Y” years and not found it so it is extinct, where “Y” is some multiple of the life span of “X.” The confound is the same logic applies to my car keys, but we know they aren’t extinct. This doesn’t mean extinction doesn’t happen, is is just you can not logically proove something doesn’t exist because we haven’t found any.

Looks like Crunchy got through to him…if you go back to the 6th, you can see the conversation that they had (this was before what happened with Delray’s mom)…https://www.gocomics.com/jumpstart/2020/02/06?ct=v&cti=2208697

One of the display walls in our zoo features animals that are extinct. I find it particularly depressing, in this era of awareness, that there are species still driven into extinction decades after I was born.

Just saw the movie “The Woman Who Loves Giraffes”. Giraffes are on their way to becoming extinct in South Africa due to humans. Very sad.

Poachers should have their arms and legs broken and left for the lions and hyenas, and of course, later the vultures.

For awhile I thought about becoming a poacher hunter. That is hunt down the black market hunters. And the buyers needed to be put away too. Why if I could I would find a way to generating ivory to such an extent that the price would be reduced dramatically. The buyers would be the hardest prey of all.
