Good to see the BCN gang is weathering the storm just fine. I spy robber mice playing cards with Burt and I just love what Georgia did with her signature today.

Am I silly to be sad that Beatrix and Trevor are left alone in the book store after hours? Or do they see so many people during the day that they need some down time? I’m glad Baba and Burt are safe and warm but wish they, too, aren’t part of the snuggle front? ☹

I wonder how Sophie and Tommy are handling this storm. Lupin, of course, is invisible at the window marveling at the snow, as we saw yesterday. I suspect he’ll come for the fuzzy blanket warmth soon.

Ahhh, Baba Mouse’s embroidery skills are excellent! My mother attempted to teach me embroidery when I was a young girl (too many moons ago to count) and I did ok, but lost interest in it. Now, I wouldn’t be able to embroider to save my life.

To answer the question which was on nobody’s mind but my own, according to the dictionary, one can hunker or be hunkered without adding “down”. It’s possible to hunker over something or simply to hunker.

Happy 42nd Anniversary to “The Blizzard of ’78.”

Yesterday I got to say that it would be 80 in San Antonio. Wicked Winter!!! It is now 40 with a wind chill of 35. Me and my fur babies will follow the CN cats and snuggle all day.

I love seeing Beatrix with her adorable huge paws and stubby little kitten tail! And it just occurred to me today – if Georgia said none of the cats will age, does that mean Beatrix will stay a kitten? Squeee!

What a wonderful cozy strip today. It’s so good to know that all the kitties, mice and dog are snuggled up, all safe and warm and comfy and cozy.

Completely off topic, due to the rotating teachers’ strike in Ontario, I am watching my great-granddaughter today. Since I will be at her place, I will be subjected to Bubble Guppies, Dora the Explorer and Paw Patrol, et cetera, ad nauseam. I’m bringing my knitting.

This is “Weatherpersons’” Day. It is uncertain whether this pertains to the talking heads in the media, actual meteorologists not working for NWS (a rare species, indeed), or just those of us with a longstanding interest in the weather. Let us hope that the former never predict that the sun will rise in the east, or we will all be Robin’s favorite word.

Georgia, there are some people who just have a knack for life. Your assuring your readers and fellow-cat-carers that ALL were safe and with their people is just one more sign that you have this quality in HEAPING handfuls!! And thank you for the story arc about the joys of hunkering down, well-provisioned, during (particularly) snowstorms. It truly is one of life’s joys!

…now, Tabitha, anybody who knows cats knows that if the weather is bad out one door or window, there is always the chance that it will be great at another door or window…it’s important to check, and even better if you insist your human opens the other door for you so that you can check on it personally…

It has been so warm here the last couple of days that the peep toads are out tonight. They will be re-hibernating tomorrow night as there is a slight threat for light snow.
