I have been using a solar powered clothes dryer for nigh onto 20 years now. The price is right and it’s Greenpeace approved. (As if I care about those bullying pirates. They’re a floating PETA.) ;-)
We have two homes, each with a landline and a clothesline. Our clothes, towels and bedding smell fresh and they don’t get decimated by the thrashing of a dryer. We only have a use for one cell phone so we save a bundle on phone costs.
Obsolete: Real live people answering the phone when you need to call a big business, a credit card company, or whatever; typewriters, most physical “walk-in” and shop department stores, ….. just to name a couple more things. Sigh!

Got rid of the landline about 10 years ago. I have a clothes line that I’ve used twice.
