Ha, I knew Sophie’s place was bigger on the inside.

Aw, Sophie… I get it. It’s totally valid to both wish for the spotlight and know it’s going to be uncomfortably glaring to stand in.

I can hardly wait for Sophie to turn around and see Goldie! Goldie for her part looks intrigued by Sophie.

Sounds like foreshadowing to me. I think she’s going to surprise everyone, possibly including herself.

I’m hoping Sophie joins the Tussle — time for a costume and an alter ego!

Stay strong, Sophie!

Oh, dear. It sounds like someone DOES really want to be involved.

Aw, Sophie, don’t be like that! Go make friends!

Though I do sympathize with the desire of hiding out and curling up with a stack of books…

I have a feeling Sophie is going to shock everyone by joining Tusslemania in impeccable style. Also, pretty sure her carrier was made by the same manufacturer as Jeannie’s bottle. Talk about interior space!

I’m not sure Sophie is interested in making friends … She may be an introvert but she is STILL a cat, and has an innate need to do cat things, like pounce and bunny-kick the living stuffing out of, well, other cats!

The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.

Perhaps Sophie’s artistic talents could be put to work, and add some creative flash to the event!

she sort of wants to be included, but still wants to be alone most of the time. wants to make a friend, but is afraid the friend would need too much of her time and heart from her. perhaps Sophie is an introvert who has tried to be friends with someone and was hurt by them and is too afraid to try again.

Every now and then Sophie gets a little bit lonely

And she’s never coming ‘round

Don’t sell yourself short, Sophie. You can have a little bit of the spotlight, too, even if you don’t participate in the tournament.

Some of us don’t like spotlights.

Sophie is really waiting to get the costumes. After all, Someone has to add the pompoms for flair.

I would LOVE a mug with all the BCN cats in their wrasslin’ gear.

There’s still time to join in, Sophie.

She’s going to do something I just know it

strange she knows them even grew up with them so not sure why she is acting like this

Today is World Poetry day, and I’m just not in a poetic frame of mind. So here are some I wrote some time ago:

“Boundary Waters”

There are deep waters here.

Looking up, one can drown

in the infinity mirrored below.

How deep is your soul?

Do you fear the depths,

or see mirrored therein

the birthright of your spirit?

There are deep waters here.

Do you fear their silence,

or in them hear

an echo of your heart?

All the gods of our species,

here sing in choir.

Can you not be still and listen?

There are deep waters here,

clear to the spirit that will see.

There are clear waters here,

that sing in the heart that hears.

And a haiku for all you other introverts:

“Humility”

Stars do not perceive

nor believe if they are told

their own radiance

I think Goldie will get Sophie to come out and surprise everyone.

No whining, girlie. They offered; you turned up your nose. Now, if you want in, they’ll welcome you but you’re going to have to make a move.

Oh, is she going to try getting rid of Tommy again?

I’m sure you’d be welcome, Sophie. Even if you’re only a spectator.

But Sophie is choosing to not socialize…

Given ‘social distancing’ and all, I really really want to filk “Age of Aquarius” into “Age of the Introvert”.
