There was also a woman who was actually hit by a small meteorite in Sylacauga, Alabama. She was asleep on her couch when it crashed through the ceiling. Glancing blow, so serious bruising was only bodily damage. Here’s a short video with some of the deets.
Then there’s the famous Peekskill meteorite that hit a car that was a seventeen year old girl’s prized possession. Collectors bought the ruined car and the meteorite from her for twice what she’d paid for the car. But being truly unique collectibles of known provenance, both are now worth much more than that. The car itself is today insured for over a million dollars.
Canada dumped pennies quite a while ago. The last 1¢ coin (penny) to be minted in Canada was struck on May 4, 2012, and distribution of the penny ceased on February 4, 2013. I do not understand why the United States is so reactionary about so many things, their antiquated system of weights and measures being one of them.

I assume the 2 cent coin is where the saying comes from, of getting someones (or giving someone) two cents worth of advice, or whatever.

I don’t get the “2 cents” one… (sorry, I’m french). Help?

That coin would come in handy while quoting the old “giving my two cents” opinion lead in.

So you really COULD give your two cents worth. :)

I can’t help but wonder how much one of those two-cent coins would be worth now. I’m sure it’s not two-cents!

I hope the Comette Family did not just give that thing away to the researchers. Negotiations would not start unless the first offer had seven figures!

Ironic – meteor hits house owned by people named similar to COMET!

The birthday cake for that meteor must be a blazing sight with all the candles!

Well, it kept Signore Cantu occupied. It reminds me of Abbe Faria in “The Count of Monte Cristo”.

So if a meteorite crashes through the roof of your house or car with insurance cover the costs of repair?

So, the prison started in 1833? (Or 1883, can’t tell for sure from the image.) Seriously, RBION needs an editor.
