The bad times make you appreciate the good times much more.

Remember, but let it go. It will always settle into a new ‘normal’. That old ‘normal’ is gone. We will never really know how many 9-11’s DIDN’T happen.

The world will change, but we keep on keeping on because that’s what humans do.

Since we normally get ‘classic’ comics at GC, it’s surprising to see Heart’s current look, for being older.

For those offended by today’s Lìo strip, this strip shows me that Tatulli isn’t trying to be lighthearted about the pandemic.

Honey, there is no normal but what you have this minute. The entire 20th century had one problem after another. We just have to go with the flow and do our best.

    Then Heart asks: “what’s 9-11?”

Heart of the City began in 1998, but if we go by Heart’s today’s age, which is about 11 or so, she wouldn’t know exactly what is 9-11 because it happened before she was “born”…

Things are scheduled to go back to normal around here April 25. And if they don’t, I imagine there will be some rather vocal protests if not riots.

And now your city has lost more souls from this than from that.

And what happened to your rights after 9/11? At least we can be “entertained” by conspiracy theorists linking Bill Gates to (Nano) chips in a vaccine against the virus. I agree with Whahoppened. This is “normal” At least for now. A LOT of things have to be reinvented. Hopefully Dean & Heart can hug again.

The scary thing is you just have to look back at the first part of the 20th Century and realize that we considered ‘normal’ never returned, but was replaced by a new ‘normal’. The only difference is now we have immediate access to information from the Internet which is how fast the new ‘normal’ is starting to become part of our lives.

    I’m over 9/11, but I’m still reeling from 2016.

As I’m writing this, Steenz has taken over the comic. Tatulli’s style of art is zany caricature, while Steenz’s style is more sedate. Still, Tatulli gets away from nonstop haha for an occasional piece of food for thought. I remember a one-panel strip he did showing Dean and Heart enjoying ice cream together. The caption was something like “Appreciate what you have. Your life, no matter how bad you think it is, is someone else’s fairy tale.”
