There is a problem with this story. I have always assumed, like most everyone else, that Cap’n Eddie’s stories were figments of an alcoholically damaged brain. Does this mean Eddie has deeper comprehension of the true nature of reality than the rest of us? Eddie, Jeffrey, Lars, certain unidentified government agencies, and a talking horse know while the rest of us only guess?
Thus Joe, unknowingly infected… spread COVID to the entire colony, and unwittingly brought an end to their paradise because they’d never heard of social distancing….
Y’know, we don’t often get long story arcs featuring Joe, and he’s a decent guy. It’s kind of a nice change of pace to see him getting a little more air time.
Gathering and foraging – headin’ down the road to communes – togetherness – creeping socialism – and that starts with “C” and that rhymes with “T” and that spells trouble – right here in River City.

Looks like Victoria has been “gathering”. Must be a “hunter gatherer” society. Not sure I’d want to be around them in case I became the hunted

Seeing the first panel I would say it’s kind of buggy. Hear no weevil, see no weevil and speak no weevil.

A trip through Wiley’s brain would be beyond anything Disney or Douglas Adams could devise. Would be great fun and maybe a little scary.

This tale is reminding me of Atlas Shrugged…
