…And, for the record: I’m loving social distancing. No handshakes, no hugs, no small talk, no parties, no “gatherings”, no meetings. I work from home, so no traffic, no parking.
In short, everything about my daily life I found irritating is now gone.
Of course I hate the pandemic, but I’m not going to lie about feeling isolated, or “looking forward to being social again.”
Nobody knows for certain how people first got this virus, but one theory I’ve heard is that a dog got it from eating a bat (probably leftovers from humans eating bats) and got the virus, and it spread from there among dogs, and then from them to humans when they licked their owners’ faces.
I have a very suspicious mind. Have not been out of our unit now for at least 8 weeks except to be tested and we are negative. No hope yet of leaving. This to me can be classified at chemical warfare. No blame taken either and why create this to begin with………..I am angry, I hurt for those afflicted, I hurt for my country. How can we ever let those workers know how grateful we are.
I have to agree with you. I am a hermit at baseline, so this is not a big change. Also, I am tickled to death to no longer be hit in the rear end by the shopping cart of the impatient person behind me in line. But what is hard is my job in long-term care is watching the heartbreak on the faces of residents and their families for the lucky few who are able to view their relatives through the window; others just don’t see anybody familiar any more. I find myself nearly weeping for the same family members who have irritated the hell out of me in the past and I hope will do so again in the near future. I’d rather they bugged the life out of me and their aunt/mother/father/grandparent/uncle/brother/sister could see them again and not be hugging themselves along with the person outside their window.

Yes, I’m afraid we are. But have no fear… it doesn’t apply to your pets.

Wish I could do that again with my Golden!
Maybe in a few years I will.

March 21st? Wow, I didn’t know comics took that long to get to circulation. I thought it was two or three weeks.

You sound like my husband. His only difference is that I’m home all day.

Social Distancing? Get used to it. I see it as the norm for at least five years.

Dogs and cats can catch Covid from us, not the other way around.
Good evening, Crew!

Unfortunately, social distancing continues. (Just don’t tell Louie—though he seems like an exception to the rule … )
Happy Friday, Crew.
