There was Calvin of NigerWho smiled as he rode on Hobbs, a tiger; They returned from the rideWith the lady inside,And the smile on the face of the tiger.
George Plimpton wrote an excellent book called “Paper Tiger.” It was about his experiences playing quarterback with the Detroit Tigers back in the 60s. It’s a great read; check it out.
Just like the morning I read the boring, no-prize cereal box. It didn’t make any sense to me how important it was to “break fast”. Breaking is usually bad and doing it faster wouldn’t help.

Paper Tiger (Noun): A person or thing that appears threatening but is ineffectual. Direct translation of the Chinese phrase “zhilaohu”

Great definition, Hobbes! And I hear Hobbes is good at math, too. You know, 7 + 3 = 73.

I want to thank everyone for educating me. I thought a “Paper Tiger” was an Origami challenge.

Sadly, with the current situation of newspaper economics, Paper Tigers are now extinct…

If your “Google” is a stuffed tiger, your facts are bound to be a bit fuzzy. I have seen worse answers on the internet.

Hobbes may be wise, but he is not helpful to Calvin with his schoolwork. What’s up with that?

I think it was Mao who called the U.S. a paper tiger. But some other communist leader said “Yes, but with nuclear teeth.”

Similar to a stuffed tiger who roams freely in the house in your presence.
