Consider yourself fortunate, Wiley. I have allergies all year round.

    “I have no love for for budding trees”. Uh-uh. That ‘for-for’ is a boo-boo no-no. ;-)

Every year I had to deal with ‘budding trees’ … those damn twirlers that fall from maple trees, necessitated several trips up on my roof with a leaf blower to clean out the gutters. Well, no more, as last week I had Leaf Filter cover my gutters … shouldn’t have to make any more trips up there to clean out twirlers in the Spring or leaves in the Fall (fingers crossed).

Where I live, April is yellow pollen season. It covers everything. You need a backhoe to get rid of it. I don’t have allergies but if you get enough of that stuff up your nose, you WILL sneeze.

The weather has been unseasonably gorgeous here in central FL the last week: very low humidity and not outrageously hot. Have had all the doors and windows open—and puffy eyes. I THINK it’s worth it, but. . .

When I was a kid, my cousin told me he was allergic to sunshine. I’m not sure what he was allergic too, but it bothered him all summer, but only when it was sunny, not when it rained. Most of the roads were unpaved, so it might simply have been dust and dirt in the air from the dirt roads.

‘Flowers are having sex in my nose,’ said my friend Mark one spring day. That’s a ‘never forgetter’ right there!

Somewhere around age 11 Mom took me for the old 41 sample skin test. Results showed I was allergic to 39. Doc Cole told nurse she ran them too close together so no way to tell for sure. Then he told Mom. Don’t worry. If he lives to age 13, he’ll grow out of them. Don’t know if that’s when her hair went white or if that came later from some stupid things I was always into. Oh, and evidently I lived just so I could sneeze my way through old age.

Careful, only sneeze out of sight or you’ll end up in a C-19 ward.

One benefit of having to wear a mask whenever I go out is that my pollen allergies haven’t bothered me nearly as much as in previous years. I just might keep doing it once the COVID-19 crisis is over.
