and the ‘for you’ section in google news is just creepy…

They listen and watch 24-7, especially Google which has a deal with practically every app maker.

I used to watch TV; now it watches me.

Scary isn’t it? I put away Alexa and usually have a bandaid over the camera on my iPad but it’s on the TV also….like being in a futuristic time….the eyes have it….

There’s nothing “spooky” about it. These companies are tracking your online life. The sites you visit, the things you buy, the opinions you “like”…it’s all valuable information: to marketing, research, etc. Even when you “opt out”, you’re still being tracked. This would only appear spooky or futuristic to a very naïve person…

Targeted ads are the low-end of artificial intelligence. I get to see ads for products I’ve already bought or researched on my own.

AI stalkers.
