My folks insisted on no less than a C grade in every subject. At least it showed I was paying attention. I was mostly a B student but I let an A slip by now and then.
A lot of A students are still unemployed, so go figure.
coinjock, I guess some folks assume that since these are reruns, everybody must have seen the originals and therefore the future story lines can’t be “spoiled”. They are wrong, of course.
I have read all the originals and was sad the creator wouldn’t let them move on.
Your right about the job market. USPS is laying off major and raising price of stamps. As much as I like to pay most bills on line. CC I can’t pay on a certain set date. And not everyone uses computers or Internet. Nor the knowledge either of them.
If you get average grades because that’s all you CAN do with your best efforts, you are fine. If it’s because it’s all you WANT to do, you are in trouble.
Bad grades get attention, good grades get attention, average grades just lie there.
Do not forget that a failing grade is not the end of the wold. Many “failures” went on to become very successful people. Abe Lincoln, for one. One only fails if one does not use the failure to learn.
I had average grades in school but was self taughr in so much that I did very well in my “productive life” I seem to be “unemployable” after retirement age, and after a few years of it, I’ll take a minimum of hours (as I was working at 1/2 my former hourly and only paid for actual hours worked- no 8 hour days!)

Average grades won’t determine your future if you don’t let them.

“Average” may not be straight A’s but it’s a whole lot better than flunking!
