For years my mother would tell me to make my husband get rid of his “toys”. He has a collection of die cast cars that he’s collected since he was about 9 years old. My thinking is: a) he enjoys them; b) it’s not an expensive hobby; c) even though he has literally thousands, they don’t take up a lot of space; d) one of our daughters now also enjoys them. He also has a little “town” that he uses to display some of them; he switches them out once in a while. Sometimes we talk about the “families” that live in each house, which makes the hobby fun for me, too.
Why is it that guys have junk and girls have their stuff? As in move your junk out of the closet so I can put in my stuff. The problem is that they have ways of being very persuasive in getting what they want. . . .
Liz has already shown questionable sense, dating Jon in the first place. But now coming over to clean his house, lady, get some sense. You’re not his maid.

Hide them in your sock drawer, Jon. It’s surprisingly the most tidy and well organized place you have.

Depends on if your bottle cap collection looks like a museum display or the clutter drawer

If Liz is going to get rid of all the useless things, Jon is in trouble.

I would never have someone else declutter my house. What objects mean to me is worthless to another….
