By the looks of Elvis’ dignified poofiness the new bed is a bit wobbly for his tastes.

Oh my! We’ve seen poofy Elvis and Angry Elvis, but have we ever before seen them combine to create Poofy Angry Elvis?

How do the cats feel about sharing with a doll?

OT: has anyone heard from dmah? They posted about an unpleasant experience and didn’t get much support from our commentariat and were very upset, and I don’t think I’ve seen them since.

Maybe a creative puck and Goldie will call asleep in the new bed and rock on the waves into Our IX Lives, where they will rescue Captain Nimble and one of them will fall in love with Kit. Or worse yet, Brad.

Elvis’s reaction reminds me of a story a coworker told years ago in Los Angeles. She had a waterbed. There was a middle-of-the-night earthquake. She said being on the waterbed in an earthquake almost made her seasick!

After what Puck asked, I hope this doesn’t turn into that Twilight Zone episode, Twenty Two …

Today is Best Friends Day.

I’ve always liked the philosophy inherent in, “A friend is someone who sees through you, but still enjoys the show.” Unfortunately, most people don’t get it. Some of those who do get it understand too well that this means friendship can be painful at times, even most of the time, especially if one is an introvert. It also means that sometimes you have to work for it. As the Richard Starkey song It Don’t Come Easy says: “I don’t ask for much, I only want your trust, and you know it don’t come easy.”

Good friends are a treasure. Best friends, if they really are best friends, have definitely paid the dues.
