After reading the original 50 years ago and seeing how they very clearly apply to today’s news, you gotta wonder: if P & H didn’t have a actual crystal ball, then they managed to capture the essence of George Santayana’s memorable statement.
It’s interesting that at least two of you thought of a “cornered rat” while I was thinking more of a cornered predator like a wolf or badger or cougar.
