Scott, it’s kinda been ‘out of hand’ for a while now.

    But don’t worry.

    .

The Messiah just came out about slavery.

    He’s against it.

Good people on both sides, though.

Fox News published digitally altered and misleading photos on stories about Seattle’s Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone (CHAZ) in what photojournalism experts called a clear violation of ethical standards for news organizations.

As part of a package of stories Friday about the zone, where demonstrators have taken over several city blocks on Capitol Hill after Seattle police abandoned the East Precinct, Fox’s website for much of the day featured a photo of a man standing with a military-style rifle in front of what appeared to be a smashed retail storefront.

The image was actually a mashup of photos from different days, taken by different photographers — it was done by splicing a Getty Images photo of an armed man, who had been at the protest zone June 10, with other images from May 30 of smashed windows in downtown Seattle.

Another altered image combined the gunman photo with yet another image, making it appear as though he was standing in front of a sign declaring “You are now entering Free Cap Hill.”

Fox’s site had no disclaimers revealing the photos had been manipulated. The network removed the images after inquiries from The Seattle Times.

Fox News Host, GOP Staffers Spread Fake ‘Antifa’ Attack Claim Fabricated by Blaze TV Producer

A large crowd of protesters packed the first and second floors of Seattle City Hall after sundown on Tuesday at the invitation of City Councilmember Kshama Sawant.

For more than an hour, the group listened to speeches advocating for the removal of Mayor Jenny Durkan, whom many of those gathered blame for the extreme police tactics used against protesters over the past week, which Durkan herself described Sunday as “more fitting of a war zone.”

The group also called for Amazon, which is headquartered in Seattle, to be taxed.

By about 10:15 pm, city hall was empty again.

A photo snapped by a local Fox reporter showed hardly any sign the building had been occupied, save for a couple of water bottles and what looked like luggage sitting on some steps.

He described the group as having departed “peacefully.”

Followers of major conservative media accounts heard a different story on Twitter—one of a brazen siege on the building led by Black Lives Matter and “Antifa,” a left-wing boogeyman President Trump has accused of directing violence against police officers nationwide.

(Short for “anti-fascist,” antifa is a label used by a numerous, largely unaffiliated activist groups across the country, many of which are anarchistic and, accordingly, reject hierarchical structures.)

Nevertheless, Elijah Schaffer, a Blaze TV producer, borrowed and tweeted Goldstein-Street’s video around 20 minutes later, adding his own spin on the story: “Antifa and [Black Lives Matter] have broken into Seattle city hall,” he tweeted.

The claim quickly exploded and was shared by numerous other large conservative accounts, eventually making its way to GOP staffers on Capitol Hill.

NPR has reviewed court documents of 51 individuals facing federal charges in connection with the unrest.

As of Tuesday morning, none is alleged to have links to the antifa movement.

Of the cases brought so far, 20 involve allegations related to arson; 16 involve the illegal possession of a firearm, more often than not by a felon; another eight people face charges related to inciting a riot or civil disorder.

The single instance in which an extremist group is mentioned in court documents is a case against three Nevada men.

Federal prosecutors allege the trio belong to the right-wing Boogaloo movement that wants to bring about a civil war. The men have been charged with plotting violence during Las Vegas protests.

Should have known Stantis would focus on the Fox viewpoint. Disappointed is an inadequate word. Every protest in history has had some group on the fringe trying to exploit it. Focus on the issues.

It is a supreme irony that protesters who were decrying violence, resorted to rioting, burning, looting, assault. There is a 29 year old cop in Las Vegas paralyzed from the neck down because he was shot in the head during a demonstration. There has been no outrage for him however.

Day 1242 of the Right Wing control of the Presidency, Supreme Court, and both Houses of Congress.

With a somewhat Left tilt for the House only, 531 Days ago.

Are you better off than you were on Jan 19, 2017?

And another propaganda dropping, conflating “Wendy’s” and "ghetto’ when there is currently no proof about who burned that particular Wendy’s.

    ~

However, I notice that “Russia Today” and Daily Mail UK are running a story that:

Atlanta police offer $10,000 bounty for ‘masked white woman’ & others suspected of torching Wendy’s amid Rayshard Brooks protests.

I was afraid of this. Known: Daily comics are delayed by two weeks, a deadly combination for comics that attempt to be about current affairs. Remember, two weeks ago, it was just the George Floyd death, the most recent two killings of unarmed black men had not yet occurred. And California may have just given us two more – hanging from trees (though local authorities are calling them suicides)

To quote Billie Holiday: Strange fruit hanging from the trees.

And, all to predictably, today, Stantis (Eric Alee?) is focused on the protests.

Assuming for a moment that black protestors were responsible for all the damage – which, again, is an assumption, at what point do we stop the false narrative that this is somehow worse than the continuous loss of life of unarmed black people at the hands of police, and almost always for some incidental, certainly non-serious crime, if for a crime at all?

At what point is it time to say, maybe, just maybe, black people have had enough?

Two weeks after the fact (George Floyd) and what we’re really upset about is a burned out Wendy’s, when once again, we have (I’m losing count) how many unarmed black men dead at the hands of police?

Disclaimer: My son-in-law and my grandson are black.

They know first hand what it’s like to have both voter suppression and to fear for their lives, just because they are black.

They live in Georgia and New York City, respectively.

Our leftist friends might wish to take note, there is a protest scheduled in Tulsa next week, and so far 800,000 people have signed up. Trump will be there.

OK folks, real strategy session here:

Trump has announced his first in-person rally on the site of the largest African-American massacre in history on Juneteenth. Insensitive? Antagonizing? Disrespectful?

    (Now changed to the 20th.)

No, strategic. Racial division is his strategy to win reelection.

    They are BEGGING for protesters.

    …/7

If there is any protest crowd at all in Tulsa, they will plant provocateurs in the crowd to start an altercation. They will have people to begin fights between each other to seed mayhem. The provocateurs will have flashbangs or explosives to feed panic.

    …/8

The provocateurs will create violence and rioting and looting for the media to cover. I know, the protesters will be committed to nonviolence. That’s why they will seed the crowd with Supremacists, Three Percenters, and Boogaloo types.
