Another fortune cookie story? Wasn’t that the entire plot of Big Nate: In a Class By Himself, and the fortune came true in the end with Nate setting a record? Not to mention, this one just feels forced because Nate’s fortune is just way too specific.
So, I’ve always been a Big Nate fan. I introduced him to my kids via the wall art at the US Chess Center when they’d play tournaments there.
And this is spectacular, but I have to sadly say you picked the wrong Sunday for this. You could’ve won the day, but PBS forced you into second place. :-/
We had Chinese food for dinner last night and my fortune says, “About time I got out of that cookie.” I Google’d it to see if this was new and it appears others have received the same one! The earliest mention of it was back in 2010 where someone submitted it to a Fortune Cookie lovers’ website:

I didn’t think it was that severe Nate: Well it did have rabies from that dog that cornered me and Francis to the top of a tree Teddy: Oh well… OH NO. Nate: What’s wrong Teddy?
