Would you finally go to store and buy some new coffee beans?

Stretching the same beans for a week isn’t working.

I need a little coffee in the morning to get going, but the coffee I have at dinner doesn’t keep me awake at night.

My Dad would think nothing of drinking half a pot of (rather strong) coffee between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. then go to bed at 9:30 p.m. and sleep like a baby.

You know you’ve reached your fatigue point when even something with caffeine doesn’t do any good!

I often have a couple of cups in the afternoon and then take a nap. I call it my “afternoon sedative.”

Better get him a cup of Doc Toon’s Nuclear Coffee, that’ll do the trick…

Coffee doesn’t work like that. Wait till you wake up in four hours, in the middle of the night…

I have found that sometimes the only way coffee keeps me awake is because I have to pee every 15 minutes.

People can build a tolerance to caffeine. In law school I drank so much that I could go to sleep after having only one cup. It to at least two to three to get me ready for class in the morning. Luckily I have purposefully brought my tolerance back down since then by going for long periods without caffeine.

I am not much affected by caffeine. When I discovered iced tea I guzzled 3 quarts (!) that afternoon and evening. I was surprised when I was awake until 3 a.m. but never experienced that again; I can drink iced tea until right before bed and drop off to sleep in a minute or two. However, if I suddenly stop drinking diet coke I get the withdrawal headache. Born to lose….

I took my last nap of early childhood at age 4, and my first nap of middle childhood at age 6. Been napping ever since. My last nap will be my dirt nap, which hopefully is still ten or more years away.
