Crocs: ugly, but practical shoes for working in a muddy garden.
I think of them as “third world shoes.” They provide adequate protection if you don’t need to keep your feet warm. They are probably as cheap as all get out to produce (a molded slab of silicone rubber) and they are very durable.
Never worn them, so I don’t know if they are comfortable or not.
I love my Crocs. I don’t wear the clog kind but a flat called Kadee. I have about 20 pairs in various prints (I usually buy them when they have a big sale). Very comfortable and they don’t look like the typical Crocs.

They’re water resistant and allow him a direct route across lakes.

Look again at the shoe creatures…
Wide square jaws, in front…. no teeth visible down the sides of their mouths.
I believe those are not crocs, but very expensive, full skin alligator shoes.
After all…. what do bears know?

That’s about how foolish those things look in real life to me as well.

It would be worse if he was wearing socks with the crocs.
