Yep, the shameless merchandise plugging! Good way to let the newspaper readers know about the storylines that couldn’t be shown in the papers. And if it contributes to the Kibble Fund, even better!
What’s the cause of your rage Elvis? Lots of news rooms keep archives. That’s how you get past footage for new stories. Perhaps because these were unauthorized? At least by you.
It may sound silly, but I’ve wanted a way to work the books into the BCN world for a while. The original site existed sort of as their original channel, newspapers became the new print broadcasts that Burt edited the footage for, but the books were just sort of floating in the ether with no in-world explanation. So, I thought it might be fun to try and turn them into the printed archives! I like to have it all sort of make sense in the context of the cats and the crew creating the sites and materials that we interact with out here, somehow!
My mind is so blown! She has broken the 4th wall! Those are the books-the IRL books (which I have all of)-not tapes of cat broadcasts…what are cartoon cats doing with real life books??? At this point, trying to read one of the Aussie’s essays on time would be easier on my whirling brain… And another thing: BoPH! [back of Puck’s head]!
Well played, Georgia….. from the Buzzzzzof the July bug to the archived broadcasts. It’s creating lots of Buzzzz for the books! I love all three and am looking forward to Elvis Puffs Out. And Lupin, standing so strategically behind the books and then, Puck… but we just know he’s still Nekkid!
Elvis-Anum: Hello, Lupinium. Still going au naturel, I see.
Lupinum: Sure, why not? It’s hot, and there are only a few cats around.
Enter Puckmosis
Puckmosis: Elvis-Anum, do you have anything you want archived?
Elvis-Anum: Yeah, I have a stack of scrolls to send to the Great Pyramid for storage. I’m glad somebody found a use for the thing.
Puckmosis: Great. The Papyrus Cat should be here any minute.
Elvis-Anum: Pucky, how many times do I have to remind you? There is no Papyrus Cat! Oh, hi Kat-Mandu. Thanks for taking these scrolls to the Great Pyramid.
Today is Tapioca Pudding Day. I used to love chocolate (of course) tapioca pudding as a child (the kind with the tiny pearls). The larger pearl varieties I don’t care for, just as I don’t care for mochi. Sure, you can eat it, but why bother?
Actually, I know why. Tapioca, derived from cassava plants, is the third largest source of carbohydrate in tropical countries. It can be used to create a wide variety of foods, and flavored with just about anything.
In its raw form, it is also quite toxic, even the so-called “sweet” variety. This is one of those widely used foods (such as olives) that is a real head-scratcher: How did people learn how to make it edible? How many of our primitive ancestors died figuring it out? Humans put the “omni” in “omnivore.” This trait has stayed with us. I recall a chemistry grad student whose last words were, “Tastes sweet.”
So don’t go licking rocks, stray chemicals, or odd roots unless you really know what you are doing.
I haven’t had chocolate tapioca pudding for longer than I can remember. Might have had it once or twice when the kids were little. Now I want some.
The sad news on the new book is that I won’t be able to give it as a present to my cat-loving buddies because I gave them the first one, and they instantly became mega-fans who buy the books themselves. Back to the B&N gift cards for them. Sigh.
Poor Pucky knows there will be trouble if Elbiff sees the cover of the 4th broadcast archive. After all we know that everything Elbiff does id dignified.
I do like Elvis’ ruff. One of my cats used to have a nice ruff but she rubs it short on some plants that grow in the gravel outside. It’s like when your girlfriend abruptly cuts off her long hair – a shock until you get used to her new look

Always expert on his beat
His cred as reporter
No one could ever stain
His memory of his hard work
Could never cause him pain
Years go by, turnin’ pages of a cat comic ’zine
And there’s his poofy self on the pages, just waitin’ to be seen
His blood runs cold
His broadcast goofs have just been sold
