The boomerang came back the very next day/ The boomerang came back, he thought it was a goner/ But the boomerang came back. It just couldn’t stay away.

Horace is lucky. It could have been a boiled bunny.

That is downright spooky.

I wonder if Edgar Allan Poe knew about boomerangs.

They always return with a vengeance….

Makes me think of a cartoon I saw once in which the protagonist was led to believe he was being haunted by a boomerang he had been gifted (and, being ignorant, didn’t fully understand how it was supposed to work) when it keeps ending up back in his general vicinity though a series of chance coincidences. One of which included him trying to bury it much like how Horace did here.

Boomatary
