Willl my phone pay the bills when they come in?

Now wait a minute here; he’s had cash on occasion. … for a moment or two. Somebody else’s, often.

’Tis a bit longer than a mere half-century, mate.

THE reason Andy has been cashless for so long is the brutal fact that Flo, Chalky, Jack & others have been enabling him!

I’m glad I live in a 2 1/2 world country where in spite of the government and the bank’s best efforts to the contrary, cash is still king!

Although I do possess a couple of bank credit/debit cards I rarely use them except for occasional ATM withdrawals. I do have some monthly recurring bills that are automatically paid electronically, but for the most part, everything else is a cash transaction – no checks or plastic. If we can’t afford it, we don’t buy it! No credit card interest charges or bank fees to pay, … no debts, no worries.

Just a reminder to everyone here who commented on — or tried to calculate — Andy’s age: since he lives in a comic strip universe in which neither he nor the other characters age, the question is moot.

OR, one can pay with a credit card and not have to pay for it until next month!

BTW it’s not totally contactless if they both have to handle the card.

I’ve been paying with my iPhone for ages. It’s a more secure way to go – these times being what they are. The new update lets the phone bypass face ID for passcode when wearing a mask.

Somebody should invent a camera which will also make phone calls.

This is one of the funniest gags I’ve seen on this strip in a looooong time.

I don’t know about cashless, but anyone who would give Andy a credit card would be brainless.

And that’s when the fight began.

This pandemic is quickly moving us to a cashless society. More places than ever are discouraging cash transactions and some downright will not accept cash. Everything from debit to credit cards and Apple Pay eliminates the need for cash. Do I like this trend ? Not particularly but we are reducing cash transactions more and more and right now the US Mint is shutdown from Covid creating a coin shortage

And contact-less! Ask Flo!
