It isn’t the Eyes Closed that is a bother. Or the Sleep! It is the Coming Up Screaming at the Top of My Lungs NIGHTMARES that I have a problem with. Makes me wonder if I have – Oneirophobia !
I get up at 5 AM. I work out. I walk 4 miles. I put in 10 hours of work (non-physical labor). I get 45 minutes of exercise in the pool. Sleeping is not the issue. Managing to stay awake until 10 o’clock at night is the issue.

Then there’s that definition of death: extremely long blink.

It’s actually very hard to sneeze without blinking. https://vitalrecord.tamhsc.edu/you-asked-can-you-sneeze-with-your-eyes-open/

When I sneeze at work, I get sent home for a couple of weeks, and I can catch up on my sleep!

These days you get a lot of attention when you sneeze.
