Trump Disciples fervently believe that bashing in the skulls of peaceful protesters is legitimate for Republicans* to do.
They also believe that a public health function of government is illegitimate and must be done away with because it is an assault on freedom to make any attempt to respond to a pandemic.
I swear if the U.S. had the “no mask” people during WWII, east of the Mississippi would be speaking German and the west would be Japanese.Since they are not putting others first.
If they took themselves out due to CV-19 fine, but they’re putting everyone else at risk.
Remember how armed white gangs roamed the streets and occupied buildings while “liberating” the various states at Trump’s behest? And remember how Trump didn’t send troops? And remember how there wasn’t a peep from any Republican candidate from either the House or those Great Trump Enablers, the Senate?
We have justice in America: in fact, we’re so Trump-Great, we have two kinds of justice: one for whites and another for non-whites. MAGA.
I sometimes wonder if the virus/mask relationship isn’t just God’s way of easily identifying the dumbest among us. Like the zebra who refuses to leave the watering hole with the herd when the lions appear, citing his First Amendment rights.
Sadly, there are STILL a bunch of knuckle-draggers running around who are convinced that THEY are immune, and THEY don’t need to wear a mask… just ask Herman Caine and Gomer Gohmert how well THAT worked for them!
I feel fortunate to live in Durham, NC, a blue city in a reddish state. In all the stores I go to, staff and 99% of shoppers are wearing masks, with no protest. Acting like caring grown-ups.
Hubby and I still won’t eat indoors at the restaurant. It is either take out, patio dining or we park our RV in the parking lot, get take out and eat it hot and fresh on our own table.
“…the sad truth Is that while most of us protect ourselves from this virus, this idea that masks infringe on their rights is what’s gonna take us all down…”
Maybe the Pa. state legislature should tell Russ Diamond that he isn’t allowed to wear a mask in the Statehouse just to see if he suddenly ‘needs’ to wear one.
Problem is, not much defense against lobotomized amoebas in positions of power and/or authority. If only stupid (and/or insane) people did NOT drag intelligent and sane people down WITH them….Mr. Miller would know more about this than I do, but I have to wonder: how much overlap is there between the never-mask crowd and the imbeciles that got his strip banned from so many papers for pointing out, you know, objective reality?
I don’t understand why it’s stupid to not wear a placebo. A cloth mask versus a virus is like expecting a window screen to stop smoke. I talked to several doctors about this and they were all in agreement plus, the CDC itself stated that they recommend wearing them because it makes people feel better.
you can take your mask off to eat. you just ave to wear it going into the reataurant, to your table, and then as you leave. nothing difficult about that.

Wearing masks is not just a health issue. It’s also an intelligence test. No surprise that conservatives are failing that test.
