Yes, we already knew about all the stuff they have said today. What’s more, Alex Wilson already knew all the stuff that Dethany is telling him. Today’s strip doesn’t advance the story at all.
In my version of this story, Mr. Wilson has just pushed a secret panic button underneath his desk and a team of shotgun-wielding assassins are waiting just outside the door to take Dethany and Tracy out.
It occurs to me, that in real life, Deathany could apply for a restraining order again Coney, and, “associates,” on behalf of Fastrack. Once granted, the next time, COney, and/or, his associates," are found at that warehouse, the cops could be called, and, they’d be arrested for violation of the restraining order. And, if/when Stooge’s bank is found, it would belong to Fastrack. (Unless the State’s Attorney’s office could prove it came from Stooge’s criminal acts.)
1-BOSS: And just who is this lovely and delectable lady?
2-…I can’t help but notice that you aren’t engaged or married.
DETH WARMEDOVER: Me? I’m Miss Warmedover. But you can call me “anytime”. NO. Wait. I AM engaged. To a picture frame model. I just haven’t gotten the ring yet. BOSS: Oh, he’s saving up for a very special one I presume.
3-DETH: No. I am.
BOSS: I have the perfect little bungalow for a couple of newly…
DT: THAT’S NOT WHY WE’RE HERE! Deth needs an agent and we hear you’re good.
BOSS: Well, now that The Walking Dead has played out and Game Of Thrones is finished, there’s not much call for zombies.
DT: There must be something…
BOSS: Ahh, well, Madame Tarot has an opening for an assistant. Let me hear you say “Hello son. Me and your father are very happy in heaven. OooooOOOOHHhhh.” DETH: What’s my motivation?
Well, it’s not much, but Dethany has confronted Alex Wilson with the situation at the warehouse. He is, of course, entirely familiar with it, but it is his reaction to her info dump (especially that in panel 3) that will provide some hint of where the story might be going.—That, I fear, is pretty much all we can expect Sunday, though a change of scene back to the warehouse might (or might not) have something to offer….

Looks like we’ve erased the only action this strip, let alone this storyline, has had in months!
I know, I know. This arc is only two weeks long.
It just seems longer.

What moves at a more glacial pace? Coney’s ice cream cones melting, or this storyline?
