Fans of fictional wizards will know that today is Harry Potter’s birthday. It is his fortieth birthday as information in the second and seventh books shows that he was born on July 31 1980.

Today is also my brother Robert’s 68th birthday. He was born in 1952 as I was born in 1966 and we have a sister between us. As my brother shares his birthday with Harry Potter, my sister shares her birthday (October 29) with Jack Reacher,

Today would also have been my Dad’s 92nd birthday but he died in March. My brother was born on our Dad’s 24th birthday.

“Since Big Brother’s watching anyway, let’s give him something to look at!”

Many behave worse for an audience. Many behave better.

They’re not being watched constantly, just three panels per day (and a few more on Sunday).

The probability of you being watched is proportional to the stupidity of your actions.
