I always thought this little peek at Mary Lou’s childhood forwardness may have given us a clue as to why she’d already had Meg when she and Gene met up again as young adults.
Interestingly, she may have been a little floozy, but having lived a not so easy life later on, she came full circle to this little boy and did marry him. Amazing how that works.
