In hi-school I read one of those articles estimating the IQs of historic characters, based on what they would need to accomplish what they did. The article assigned 200 to only two people, and I didn’t know why one of them was Goethe. But later I would learn that he was a major novelist and the only other poet who deserved to be compared to Shakespeare, he was a statesman and advisor to royalty, and he made contributions to the study of sight and optics. (I don’t remember who the other 200 was; probably Leonardo.)
