First Mark Tatulli from Heart of the City and now you? Who will take over for you or is Pluggers done for good? I will miss your take on the simplistic views of old folk wisdom on modern life.
Thank – You Gary and enjoy your next adventure ! Welcome aboard Mr. Rick McKee ! Although this should of been said a while back for you and Gary were taking turns doing the strip ;-)
Didn’t see it coming. Looking back I also didn’t notice the changing signatures, but I did notice the slightly different styles: Gary liked more shading than Rick uses.
You know you’re a plugger when your email ends in “aol.com”. Job well done, Gary. You’ve got big shoes to fill, Rick; I look forward to more of your work.
I can bearly believe it. Thanks for all the great drawings and allowing fellow Pluggers give you ideas what a Plugger is and printing from what state they come from.
Thanks, Gary, for sharing all the wonderful insights into Plugger Life, and the conversations they have inspired here. Rick, it’s up to you now, to help us keep plugging along. Hope you visit the comments now and then.
Sorry to see Gary go after all these years of fine work, but as others have said the strip is clearly in good hands with an artist who will stay true to the historical look of the comic
Wish the same could be said for Nancy and Heart of the City, the art on both is so different its almost uncomfortable to read them
Wow… Gary, after all theses years, I and we appreciate your coming to our computers every day. Thanks for making us laugh, smile, and deem. Have fun and be safe
Thank you for ll the memories. I thought it was a great idea to let public submit ideas then put a picture with it. I cut them out of newspapers for several years and you published 3 of mine. Thank you.
Welcome to the ranks of the leisure (?) class. Any plugger will tell you that you will find yourself busier than ever but enjoying it a lot more. Thanks for the years of wisdom and smiles.
You’ll be sadly missed if this is truly the end. But many, many thanks for making this old Plugger of a Marine feel in good company. Pluggers hit the nail on the head very often.
Oh how I wished that was the Bel Air there. I loved his drawing of it, hoped to have seen the full car drawn.
Interestingly enough, he started drawing and painting cars at the beginning of his career according to his bio and he did have a website dedicated to that which is now just a place holder.
