Don’t know how many times I’ve told my wife “But I wouldn’t do that in a fancy restaurant…”
is it a good thing they’re not eating Japanese noodles (ramen, udon, soba, somen) where it is considered good Japanese table manners to slurp the noodles?
She should do what I do – take her hearing aids out.
I think it’s better.
Opal isn’t much of a romantic. If she were she’d think about having a “Lady and the Tramp” moment.
Now the inside of the table cloth is stained, good one Earl!
Earl, take your spaghetti into the living room, eat as you want away from that harridan!
You’re not gonna fix it this way, Earl. How ’bout marrying a Japanese woman?
Opal if Earl did not do what he does you would have nothing to talk about ;-)
At least he’s eating it and not making comments about it like he does your other cooking!
I’d be willing to bet there was a time when she actually wanted Earl to um, slurp her spaghetti.
Opal sounds more like my mother every day. My poor Dad… but I miss them both.
Move to Japan, Earl. it’s expected there.
“But, yes, it IS better…”
Opal, all of a sudden doesn’t like him ((((((((slurping))))) his spaghetti? I don’t know how Earl puts up with half the crap she hands out.
I prefer my spaghetti broke into smaller pieces before cooking. That way you don’t have to fight with it. Tastes the same.
they have been married for how long and she is just geting around to correcting this behavior? I think she’s getting gumpy in her older years.
I used to have an uncle, my mom’s brother, demanded table manner’s, he done the same as Opal.
Buy her an early Christmas present, sound neutralizing headphones.
An easy fix Opal.. serve Earls portion on the back porch.. or, cut it up before you serve it
It’s a compliment to the Italian chef. My Sicilian wife told me so.
How long have they been married? Did it take her this long to decide that she was offended by his slurping his noodles?
“…nonetheless, it IS better.”
tch, ..tch, ..tch Use your imagination on this.
Me with ramen soup…
