Michael Steele, former chair of the Republican National Committee, had some blunt words for members of the GOP who voted for and continue to support President Donald Trump.
Trump, he said, “is not now nor has he ever been a Republican.”
Speaking on MSNBC a day before the Republican National Convention, Steele warned:
“All y’all want to play this little game that Donald Trump is like you, you’re stupid. You’re being played. You’re getting punked. But what’s so bad about it is you’re complicit in your own punking.”
Steele also laughed at the idea that Trump intended to speak on each night of the event rather than just on the final night as was traditional.
“Can we stop pretending that this is going to be a Republican National Convention?” he asked. “This is Donald Trump’s reality TV moment.”
There is a high percentage of psychopaths working on Wall Street. They are not axe murdering monsters out of a horror show but high performing financial “geniuses” that put profit above all else. If you have enough lawyers and money, you can get away with anything… it may not be legal, and certainly not ethical, but if you can get away with it, does it really matter…? How many have found a home in the Executive Branch?
Even with, literally a textbook definition, the usual suspects flood todays comment board with entries that contain 0% empathy, if not compassion. The funny part of todays strip, is that Mr. Stantis anticipated these comments, and was mocking the total lack of empathy they would contain. Nice going, Sheep.
Would this be considered a part of “Back the Blue” / “Blue Lives Matter!”?

The New York attorney general is investigating whether President Trump’s company misled lenders and taxing authorities by improperly inflating the value of his assets, according to a court filing on Monday.
The filing from Attorney General Letitia James (D) said that the Trump Organization has declined to hand over some documents that had been subpoenaed, and that the president’s son Eric has refused to be interviewed. James’s inquiry began 18 months ago, but James had not disclosed its focus or scope before Monday.
Eric Trump — now the day-to-day leader of his father’s company — agreed to an interview, and then canceled two days before, according to the filing. He has declined to set another date, citing “rights afforded to every individual under the Constitution” to justify refusing the subpoena for an interview, the attorney general said.
In addition, James said, Trump’s company has declined to produce any documentation to show it had paid the proper taxes when one of its lenders forgave more than $100 million of debt on the Trump hotel in Chicago.
The filing showed Trump’s company is now facing two advanced investigations into its finances in New York state — both focused on the years before he took office.
Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance Jr. (D) is separately looking into payoffs made in 2016 to women who alleged they had affairs with Trump — and Vance’s recent filings suggest that his probe may have expanded to cover other financial dealings at the company.
People with empathy make good short term caregivers but not so good long-term caregivers. I cared for my wife the last two years of her life. After a year or two, you have to dial back your empathy or you will sink into depression. Maybe that’s what happens to conservative lawmakers, too much indignation dulls the emotional response.
Smerconish this morning criticized DJT Jr. for not humanizing his father during his RNC speech; “where were all the father and son stories?”. It was like Michael Smerconish of POTUS radio and CNN failed to acknowledge that the man wasn’t much of a father and dad to his kids, didn’t raise them, didn’t play catch or tell them stories or give them the “respect women” talk. Can’t humanize a person who shows very little to none human, empathetic, and sympathetic traits.
If the DON were to win (lord help yous), wonder if republicans would start concentrating on their own political futures rather than kissing his butt cheeks.

So, does this mean Scott’s voting for Biden?
He’s the only candidate with empathy in the race.

Then you’d better not watch any of the RNC this week. (especially if truth means anything to you, too)

Many expect empathy from Trump, how many have empathy for Trump?
