I was hoping this was a joke. No such luck.
That reminds me, I’ve heard very little cicada song this summer. Was 2003 a bad year for mating cicadas?
The nunchuck bears and murder hornets are right behind.

To think I stayed up late to welcome in 2020.
Maybe they’ll eat the murder hornets…
An affable dim bulb and an incompetent sluggard are challenging the fates. No wonder we’re where we are, huh?
Why do I keep hearing tiny voices chirping “BRAIIINS! BRAAAAAINS!”?
That really is a weird thing but it sounds worse than it is (unless you’re a cicada, of course)

We don’t have cicadas in SoCal. I actually miss them.
2020 is saving the Super Volcanoe eruption for December so it can really go out with a bang.

It doesn’t matter. 2020 is going to keep sending horror after horror no matter what you say. Just don’t expect it to be over any time soon.
Everybody loves a good challenge. Tell 2020, “BRING IT ON!” and then duck down.
That’s a real thing, isn’t it?
Never Ask that Question.

It appears that zombie cicadas have been around for eons, it’s just that the MSM didn’t notice until now…https://www.livescience.com/zombie-cicadas-lure-victims.html
