Tomorrow we’ll have analysis of how it broke and an opinion on why it broke and whose fault it was.

Best plan I have had in years. I broke the antenna. I can’t get regular TV. All my news comes across the radio. Much less stress! Even with the other day when we would get the Emergency Signal Roaring every two hours for a day and a half!

I just love “Breaking News” that happened two days ago. That’s well past Breaking News shelf life. Anything older than 2 hours is old news.

Lester Holt opens the vast majority of his newscasts with that very term: “Breaking News”

CP24 has the red banner on the top of the page saying “BREAKING NEWS” and shows the number of new covid cases. Six cases or sixty, it is breaking news.

    It means nothing anymore.

there is no such thing as ‘breaking news’ anymore – just ‘breaking opinion’ which everyone calls ‘breaking news’ factless, faulty, fictitious, and fruity -the competition to be the “first” and get the most ‘clicks’ with the ’breaking opinion" is high when you compete in the technical world we have now.

They know it’s breaking because they just created it themselves 5 minutes earlier.

Many of you are too young to have ever heard that newsboy’s cry … in fact, many of you are too young to know what a newsboy was.

What new news bits are unnoticed while avoiding breaking news, often seemingly used equally to the number of commercial breaks.

The overuse of that term is just one example of why the Media has lost so much credibility these days. Another one is how they spend countless hours in analysis to justify their own opinions instead of just giving us the unvarnished facts.

The problem with breaking news is that, whatever you are watching it on, you need to clean out the broken pieces. That’s why they make tvs amd computers with little drawers- so you can empty the broken pieces.
