It’s a shame that some people think cartoon artists don’t know how to draw realistically. I just wonder if this is how the real view of Baldo’s family vs the caricature ones. Of course it does remind me of a soap opera as well.

This is a delightful story, and this strip is really in both languages, which makes it suitable to learn Spanish correctly.

As I said before, Tia Carmen is an attractive mature woman, who gave up much to help her family. She deserves any happiness she could find.

It would be a better comic if the author continued with the latest way of drawing the characters. It makes a much better read!

Spoiler alert: This arc originally ran from 26 March through 7 April 2007. And yes, it includes the death of Rosa, Sergio’s wife, as well as how Carmen came to live with them.

Not known is whether this sequence will include the shocking strip aired Sunday, 1 April 2007. This is the strip where Carmen was violently arrested and taken away by DHS and ICE.
