It’s always hard to do what you’ve never done.

Arlo only learned the process in reverse, helping others in community spirit.

You can buy bras that hook in front.

Try to put on a regular bra after wearing a sport bras for months

Most of us do not put on a bra like this. You turn it around, do the hook from the front and then swivel the bra 180 degrees so the hook is in the back. OR you just buy the ones that hood in the front.

Practice, Arlo. Daily practice.

Nature and bra design help…. it’s harder to get more hooks and eyes lined up, so when we’re young, we can often wear bras with just one hook. After we’re proficient, we need to go to two hooks. Then three. Then four.

But on the rare occasions I’ve worn a longline bra, yeah, I do it like dlkrueger33 in her comment.

Muscle memory

Female joint flexibility, Guys can’t do splits either.

Both Arlo and Janis need to hit the gym. Both are getting a little chunky. Either that or the author needs to sharpen his pencils. Of course the author could be projecting. which is probably the case.

I have been wearing bras for at least 50 years, and I can’t do that. Never have been able to hook it like that.

He’s already an expert in how to undo that!

Now we know why the Bra-less look took hold in the 60’s.

Velcro has not yet been invented.

I know it dates me to but twenty years ago the host on WGN for the AM commute was Bob Collins. He had a way with turning an expression. One morning he said he wanted a new computer with just more. He quipped he wanted a “four hooker” which, by the looks of panel one, is what Janis needs.

I loved the Bra-less 60’s . I wonder what ever happened to it ?

This reminds me of a very funny scene between Penny and Sheldon from an episode of “The Big Bang Theory”, which was repeated just yesterday, where she has dislocated her shoulder in the bathtub and he is trying to help her get dressed (without looking):

Penny: Now, you gotta help me get my arm into the sleeve.

Sheldon: OK.

Penny: Is that my arm?

Sheldon: It doesn’t feel like an arm.

Penny: Then maybe you should let it go.

Sheldon: [pause] All righty.

Truly, there are real differences between a man’s and a woman’ physiology and not just the obvious differences……

Ah, yes. This strip brings back memories of the first time that I saw my girlfriend putting her bra back on. She hooked it front, spun it around, and then corralled the girls. I had no idea that it could be put on that way. As one might imagine, I was fascinated.

Interesting. No one has commented on the primary oddity in the strip. Is the first time that Arlo has seen Janis put on her bra? Something ain’t right here. Maybe I am missing something. Maybe he just never thought about the gymnastics of it.

Jimmy is the Michael Jordan of side boob in comics.

Sad to say, the dynamic duo is showing their age(s). Janis still is in the “squeezable” zone though. 8^ )

The Mrs has all hers with front closure. I suspect she has told the girls, but truthfully, I don’t know.

The two finger snap. Had it down to a science.

Years of practice I bet…

It takes practice to undo it, especially if you only use finger and thumb.

my wife doesn’t keep them in the top draw; I think; but based on yesterdays comic; she folds them and puts them away herself

I think I will call these pandemic panties.

That’s why women are more Flexible and limber than men…. For that Reason! :-)

If anyone sees this … I leave my bras hooked all the time, through washer, clothesline, and drawer. I just wriggle into the bra when I’m dressing. It’s easy! (I am 87 years old.) Wriggle out at bedtime.

If it weren’t for women’s estrogen-based flexibility the Kama Sutra would be boring…
