Can you make these things a bit lighter? Otherwise the game is just too heavy.

Except for the two tone playing board… I thought he was having a protest in a cemetery.

Think that he’s right. That’s a bit of work to jut get rid of a pawn. Is the queen a statue of the Fat Broad? If so, we may need pawns that look like snakes.

Castling is going to be a hernia in this version of the game.

If the pieces are as heavy as he’s making them out to be, shouldn’t he have hurt his foot in the second panel?

I think Peter has been repurposing grave monuments for his game.

I like it like that. It makes you think before you go through the trouble of moving. Good exercise too. I mean if they do that for an hour or so every day the chess club will whip up on the football team.

Well you still need to learn how to play the game. The King can only move one square at a time and you just took your own pawn.

I remember several years ago I was at a friend’s house for a game night, as a long time gamer I’m use to games where the rules are far more complex than chess. Several of us were killing time watching family feud before the rest of the gang showed up and one of the questions was a survey of one hundred people to name a complicated game. Some of the guys started yelling out some of the most complicated games we played on a regular basis like Starfleet battles of dungeons and dragons, I calmly said chess and everyone else in the room glared at me and one of them said “chess isn’t complicated,” " not for us, " I replied, “but this is a survey of average players, not did hard gamers”. Sure enough, chess was the number one answer, none of the other games even made the survey.
