“You stupid referee” is a phrase I’m well experienced with. As a soccer ref, I’ve heard it often and offside is still the most questioned call in the law. I even get into it too while watching the English Premier League. What really bothers me about those line judges is that they don’t flag the offside at the time of the offside. Instead, they seem to wait until they see how the plays end out. If there’s a goal, flag the offside; if not, then let it go. Proper procedure calls for the linesman, or lineswoman, to flag the offside at the moment the foul is determined and then it’s left up the the center ref to decide whether to stop play to issue the penalty. The way they do it even upsets the announcers. Perhaps this is a league procedure imposed on the line refs.

When the snowman starts to melt, they can penalize him for double dribbling.
