Wednesday morning is Trash Day around here. And this one should be interesting! New management is doing quite a bit of construction. Siding/paneling has taken up most of the parking lot. Blocking the trash receptacle. But It Gets Worse! Notice went out that they plan to repave the parking lot as well! Who will win the battle of the asphalt? Rubbish, construction, or smelly parking???? (Rubbing hands together evilly to see how it all comes out!)
Everyday is Trash Day here in India now. The garbage people come every morning and take your trash away, you just have to segregate it in two bins, wet waste in green bin, dry waste in blue bin. India is getting cleaner day by day!!
Parker & Hart stole this one from SNL. Many years ago they had a hilarious Yard-a-pult skit about getting rid of garbage, dead pets, etc., with a catapult on the lawn. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6prPrnXutKY
Coincidentally, I had to call yesterday about replacing our recycle bin. This one has a large crack where the clamps pick it up. The sanitation department warned that some sort of complication caused by the virus (more accurately, by reaction to it) may delay it a month or two. There’s no escape.
If only … I remember building trebuchets a few times for science project and then some engineering classes and took great pleasure in flinging stuff both for distance and accuracy.
In Mexico, the “basureros” (“basura” = trash and garbage) come by everyday but Sunday, but you never know when. You have to listen for the bell ringing, gather together all of your trash, garbage and recyclables, and rush out of the door (in my case, stumble down 3 flights of a circular staircase) in hopes of catching up to the huge garbage truck to hand over the smelly stuff before it takes off again.

If that’s the quality of Id’s trebuchets, it’s a wonder the Huns haven’t conquered them years ago…

Either Rod is smarter than he looks or he had someone help him to figure out the right trajectory to aim that catapult!

That’s really amazing coordination for the middle ages.
